Mindfulness is a means of tapping into and reclaiming our natural goodness and innate wisdom. A deepening awareness develops through mindfulness practice that strengthens our ability to truly enjoy our lives and to cope with the difficulties that inevitably arise.
This course is based on the world renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course developed at the UMass Medical School. Over 30 years of clinical research demonstrates that MBSR reliably and profoundly alters the structure of the brain in such a way that quality of life, sense of wellbeing and physical health are improved.
A key component to the success of this program is a commitment to a daily mindfulness practice. A free pre-class orientation is required for participation. Includes an all-day retreat between classes 6 and 7.
