Mindful Schools created a mindfulness curriculum that exposes children to a range of mindfulness practices. Classes meet twice a week for 15 minutes at a time over the course of 8 weeks. Children love the classes and often come back to the next class with stories of how they are using mindfulness in their own lives to help them in a wide range of situations such as, coping with difficult feelings, falling asleep, and feeling more calm and relaxed. Research shows that mindfulness helps children in many areas of their lives, and most strongly in regulating emotions and developing the ability to concentrate.
